About Luke MacLaurin
Luke MacLaurin is a river angler, outdoor photographer, and gear reviewer for Island Fisherman Magazine. Originally cutting his teeth float fishing the heavy currents of the Niagara River, Luke is based on Vancouver Island, where he works in marketing with Nootka Marine Adventures. Whether field-testing centerpin mechanics on the Skeena River system or navigating coastal waters throughout Nootka Sound, his writing focuses on wild steelhead watercraft, long-drift seam presentation, centerpin reel ergonomics, and tactical coastal tackle testing.
