Pat Ahern is a Certified Tidal Angling Guide (CTAG), President of the West Coast Fishing Guides Association (WCFGA), and a Director with the Sport Fishing Institute of BC (SFI). The owner and operator of Last Cast Guiding out of Port Alberni, he brings decades of commercial-standard navigation and charter experience across Barkley Sound and Alberni Inlet. A delegate to the International Pacific Halibut Commission (IPHC) Conference Board, Pat writes extensively for Island Fisherman Magazine on deep-water halibut anchoring safety, downrigger salmon trolling mechanics, catch biosampling data, and coastal marine fishery policy.
