Joel Unickow is the Publisher and CEO of Island Fisherman Magazine (Compass Media Publishing Inc.) and a lifelong active coastal British Columbia angler. With more than two decades of specialty media publishing leadership, he directs the editorial vision, tactical field guides, and digital platforms serving sportfishers across Vancouver Island and the Pacific Northwest. Based on Vancouver Island, Joel works directly with local charter captains, tackle innovators, industry leaders, and community hatcheries, focusing his writing on regional saltwater fisheries reports, marine gear testing, and salmon enhancement advocacy.
