2026 represents the 30th Annual Juan de Fuca Fishing Tournament and we have plans to make this year’s event even bigger and better than ever! The 2026 Alpine Juan de Fuca Fishing Tournament, a one-day community event, will be held on Sunday, September 6th at the Pedder Bay Marina. Supported by title sponsors the Alpine Group and GFL Environmental and a host of other local business, the 2026 tournament will feature a $30,000 first prize.

This event allows the angling public to gather and share their love of fishing and serves as an important fundraiser for SVIAC’s advocacy and conservation work. Last year all tournament proceeds helped to raise more than $50,000 to support salmon enhancement and advocacy on South Vancouver Island.
