Catherine Falavolito
March 7, 1960 – April 18, 2018
It is with heavy hearts that we say good-bye to a very special lady, Cathy Falavolito.
Cathy has been the Owner/Operator of Westview Marina & Lodge for 27 years, along with her husband John.
Not only was Cathy a huge part of the fishing industry in Tahsis, but the heart and soul of it.
She has spent years sitting in on board and committee meetings, giving her input to make this place and the fishing what it is today. For the past eight years she’s been the President of the Sport Fish Advisory Board, Area 25 Nootka Sound & Esperanza Inlet. Cathy has also raised over $400,000 over the past 14 years for the Tahsis Salmon Enhancement Society, Nootka Watershed Society, and other habitat rehabilitation projects which has made the region some of the BEST fishing on the West Coast of Vancouver Island.
Cathy will be missed greatly by the Village of Tahsis, the fishing industry and everyone who’s had the pleasure of knowing her.
