$21,000 Up for Grabs in 2025 Alpine Salish Sea Salmon Challenge
Following the tremendous success of the 2024 Alpine Juan de Fuca Fishing Tournament, the South Vancouver Island Anglers Coalition (SVIAC) is proud to present the 2025 Alpine Salish Sea Salmon Challenge on Saturday, May 31, 2025.
This exciting fishing event is proudly supported by Stew Young and the Alpine Group … and GFL Green for Life Environmental, along with numerous local businesses, generating a total prize pool of $21,000!

Event Details
When: Saturday, May 31, 2025
Where: Areas 19-3 to 19-6 (Sidney to Race Rocks)
Weigh Station: Esquimalt Anglers Marina, 1101 Munro Street, Esquimalt
Scale opens: 8:00 AM
Scale closes: 3:00 PM
Participants must be in line by 3:00 PM to weigh their catch.

Note: There are limited boat launch and trailer parking opportunities at Esquimalt Anglers Marina. Please consider this when determining where you will be launching your boat for the derby.
Derby Registration Night
When: Friday, May 30, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Where: Langford City Centre Grill, 1097 Langford Parkway, Langford, BC
Why: All participants must register for the derby during this time.
You must pick up your rod ticket window stickers, derby rules and derby SWAG (T shirts and Hats).
This is your only chance to purchase 50/50 tickets, raffle tickets, and enter the Skippers Challenge Side Bet.
Note: Derby ticket sales will end at 8:00 PM on May 30. Derby window stickers must be picked up by this time.
