Silva Bay Fishing Derby will be held at Silva Bay Marina September 1st and 2nd. Weigh times 9 until 7 September 1st, 9 until noon September 2nd. Weigh scale on main dock below the manager’s office. Prize ceremony commences at 1 P.M. on the upper deck.Minimum of $10,000 in prizes and draws. Free t-shirts and pizza for participants. Tickets are $50 per person. Tickets available at Silva Bay Marina, Page’s Marina, Arbutus Building Supplies, Harbour Chandler, and Gone Fishin’. All proceeds are donated to the Nanaimo River Hatchery. Categories include Chinook Salmon, Coho Salmon, and Ling closest to 15 pounds. Good luck!
