Winter Chinook with Prairie Spoon Trick

On those days where you mark fish on the sounder and just can’t get them to bite your spoon, why not try this old-school prairie spoon trick. Make a hybrid by tying a fly on the hook of your spoon. This fly will flutter around with the hook on the spoon creating somewhat of a fish tail moving around. Commonly used for pike, walleye and musky. Give it a try for salmon. As you can see, this winter chinook caught in March, 2018 just couldn’t resist!
